IoT & Embedded Systems

I build smart device prototypes with Arduino and Raspberry Pi that collect data from sensors, react to their surroundings and can be controlled from a phone.

In my TÜBİTAK 2209-A funded project I built an autonomous wheelchair prototype that helps older people and people with disabilities find their way safely inside a hospital: positioning from QR codes along the corridors, control from a smartphone over Bluetooth (HC-05), RFID authentication, and ultrasonic sensors that detect obstacles and brake automatically.

What is included

  • Choosing the sensors and hardware for the scenario
  • Embedded software in Arduino and C++
  • Smartphone control over Bluetooth
  • RFID authentication and indoor positioning with QR codes
  • Real-time monitoring and alert logic

Process

  1. We define the scenario We pin down where, for whom and under which conditions the device will work.
  2. I build the prototype I turn the sensors, circuit and embedded software into a first version that proves the idea.
  3. I test it in real conditions I test the prototype close to where it will be used and fix its weak spots.
  4. I hand it over I share the circuit diagram, the software and my notes for the next steps.

Frequently asked questions

How do we get from a prototype to a product?

We first build a prototype that shows the idea works. The hardware decisions for a product are then made together, based on what the prototype teaches us.

How are the timeline and the price decided?

By the scope of the work. A short note on what you need is enough to start; once we have pinned down the scenario and the hardware it needs, I send you a quote with the timeline and the price.
